Getting The Answers You Need To Make The Right Decision
A licensed South Carolina Realtor since 2006, Gail moved to Mt. Pleasant from the Philadelphia area in 2002. She has directed her efforts at learning not only the real estate market in Charleston, but at applying that knowledge in guiding her clients to a successful outcome.
"There is nothing nicer than having a client tell me that the buying or selling of their home was made easier because I was there every step of the way. This is especially true when it comes to those who have relocated as I did - they are starting fresh and the stress of moving can be made bearable with someone there to help with all the little details of getting settled in."
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Gail moved to the United States with her family when she was a little girl, crossing the Atlantic on the Queen Elizabeth I - she's convinced that her love of travel started with this transatlantic adventure. Raised in Philadelphia, she went to college in Arlington, VA (now Marymount University) and has lived in New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and now South Carolina.
"This was a big move for my husband and me, but we love it here. We've made wonderful friendships, the weather is beautiful, there's always something to do, and the convenience to everything - downtown Charleston, beaches, airport, events - means that a 15-minute drive takes you pretty much anywhere you need to go. It also makes for a far less stressful life."
Gail's husband is a retired securities analyst, who now works at Barnes & Noble. Both are avid readers, with Gail a member of 2 book clubs. "It certainly comes in handy to have a personal shopper for those monthly titles!" Their son, 26, graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder. He's just moved to Washington, DC, where he is studying for the CFA test (Chartered Financial Analyst), hoping to follow in his father's footsteps. "Our son has the travel bug too, but he has us beaten by a long shot - he can include China and India on his list!"
Gail's career has spanned several industries, including 7+ years with a food broker in Connecticut, 4 years as a National Account Manager with Savin Corporation, and over 7 years at Barnes & Noble in Pennsylvania and South Carolina as a Bookseller and in the Corporate/Institutional Sales Department.
"If I've discovered anything in my career, it's that asking questions and listening are keys to providing good customer service in any industry - if I'm only interested in talking about what I want, how can I possibly help you to find what you want? I also take very seriously my commitment to following up & getting answers on every detail, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant. Again, it's not about what's important to me; it's about what's important to you."
